    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Does the Nomad 100 Solar Panel hold a charge?

A: No, the panel produces power only when exposed to sunlight. To generate the most power, angle the panel toward the sun. This improves your ability to collect power from the sun. Clouds and windows affect collection efficiency. If you would like to store power, combine the Nomad 100 with a Goal Zero power pack.

Q: Is the Nomad 100 Solar Panel waterproof?

A: It is very weather-resistant and will not be harmed if exposed to rain or snow.

Q: Can I chain multiple solar panels together?

A: Yes. Chaining additional solar panels is a great way to charge your device from the sun in less time. You can chain up to four solar panels at once.

Q: How do I chain multiple Nomad 100 Solar Panels together?

A: We recommend chaining two Nomad 100's in a series by inserting one MC4 Connector into the female MC4 Connector of the second panel and then into the recommended adapter cable (MC4 to AP Adapter Cable). Utilizing this method, voltages will increase and amperage will remain the same, causing less electrical friction and heat. When chaining Nomad 100 solar panels, you must purchase a MC4 to AP Adapter Cable to plug into the Goal Zero Yeti 1250. NOTE: We do NOT recommend plugging CHAINED Nomad 100 Solar Panels into the Goal Zero Yeti 150, Goal Zero Yeti 400 or Sherpa Power Packs.
